Business Scenario
Zeta Suite, a USD 1.45 Billion fintech, takes pride in offering the world’s first omni stack for banks. With the goal of establishing itself as a leading credit processing platform in the US, Zeta Tachyon has been built from the ground up to be infinitely scalable, cloud-native, and API ready.
As the Product Manager for the Origination and Customer Lifecycle Management(CLM) system for Zeta, I was responsible for building an extensible and fully integrable credit origination system catering to 2 user personas- financial institutions(banks) and their partners(fintechs).
User Story
As a Bank, I can use Tachyon Credit Origination and CLM System to
Design custom onboarding application forms with validations and workflows to support verifications such as KYC(Know Your Customer), AML(Anti Money Laundering), Fraud, and Credit Decisioning, through a web interface(Control Center)
Control Center for Banks to configure Applications and Account Holder schemas
Seamlessly integrate with Zeta’s default credit decision engine or with any external decision engine for fetching data from credit bureaus and performing credit decisioning- approved, declined, or pending
Manually review and take a decision for all onboarding applications for which the decision was ‘pending’
Get a 360-degree view for each Account Holder to resolve customer queries using Service Center(back-office center)
Service Center for Banks to process customer queries
Perform certain CRUD(Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations on my customer profile
Integrate with databases such as OFAC's Sanctions List Search for periodically identifying and blacklisting Specially Designated Nationals(SDN)
Publish events on each successful customer onboarding, each fraud detection, etc so that other micro-services can consume these events for their functioning
As a fintech, I can leverage Tachyon Credit Origination and CLM System as configured by the Bank to
Onboard more customers as a part of partner programs for the Bank
Outcome
Enabled eight issuers(banks) and 30 fintechs(partners) to issue 15M+ cards on Zeta’s platform
Launched a self-serviceable web interface for banks to design custom application forms and workflows, reducing developer involvement to 0% and improving turnaround time by 60%
Achieved 100% API coverage for Customer Lifecycle Management with access control for Banks and Fintechs (Link)
